Malakoff Diggins State Historic Park offers schools the hands-on opportunity for their students to experience gold rush history by visiting our old historic town of North Bloomfield and view the results of the largest hydraulic mining claim in our country.

The park gives teachers the choice of having their students stay overnight in our environmental living camp,  learn period crafts and experience life as it was in the 1800s.  Or students can experience the park for the day and the students participate in a scavenger hunt in our old historic buildings.

Call the park (530- 265-2740) for available dates and times to schedule your program.
