News outlets reported that a multiple-vehicle crash in Hamilton Township on Pa. 30 injured one driver Saturday evening.

According to Pennsylvania State Police reports in Chambersburg, the crash happened at about 6pm in the eastbound traffic lanes of Pa. 30 Saturday when a 17-year-old male driver lost control over his 1999 Pontiac Sunfire while trying to avoid an unknown object in the traffic lane. The Sunfire traversed the centerline, entering into oncoming westbound traffic, and hit the front end of a 2001 Volvo S80. This forced a wheel from the 17-year-old’s vehicle to come off and hit a westbound 2006 Honda Civic. The Sunfire then swerved back into the center lane before reentering the westbound traffic lanes where he hit the front fender of a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. This accident forced the Sunfire to spin out-of-control counterclockwise before coming to a stop in the center turning lane.

Chambersburg Fire and emergency services got to the scene shortly afterwards and treated the driver of the Sunfire for minor injuries that he suffered during the incident. No other injuries were reported in this incident. Authorities are continuing to investigate and have not said whether any citations will be issued.

As a chambersburg car accident attorney, I’m glad to know that no one was more seriously injured in what may have possibly been a deadly car accident.
